Boys must play 2 age groups up in girls competition if they fall in 13u and 14u age group. While the region’s goal is to hold tournaments for boys teams throughout the club season, boys are allowed to play on girls teams in the 14U and younger age groups if a club does not offer a boys team.
The Palmetto Region is actively promoting the growth of boys volleyball, and our goal is to continue to grow the opportunities for boys to play in South Carolina. Many clubs offer teams for boys ages 12-18 (see the tryout schedule for boys for 2023/2024 season below). The Palmetto Region sanctions boys competition during the season and has scheduled tournaments specifically for boys.
